EventWorks Staff Spotlight: Meet Daniel Geiger, Client Relations and Sales Manager
Location: Myrtle Beach
Daniel grew up in Florence, South Carolina, but has always loved spending time on the coast. His passion for fishing led him to make the move to Myrtle Beach a little over six years ago and he has never looked back! When he relocated to the Grand Strand area, he began his hospitality career working for a local catering company. This is where his passion for events was realized and he soon determined that the event industry was a perfect fit for his logistical knowledge and outgoing personality.
While Daniel still has a passion for food, he made the switch to the rental side of the industry in early 2018. He loves that Myrtle Beach is the ultimate vacation destination and the enjoys the wide variety of venues the area has to offer, making it a very special market to live, work and play.
His favorite Eventworks product is the Five Tap Craft Beer Bar. He loves how unique of a product it is. As Daniel says, “Is it really a party without a bar?”.

We are so excited for our very own EventWorks team member, Kyle Johnson, who is set to participate on the popular television show, American Ninja Warrior this spring. Kyle has been with EventWorks for nearly five years and is one of our most requested team leads by planners and clients. With his efficiency and positive attitude, he completes set-ups in record time … we hope to see him with the same speedy success on the show!
If you have not seen Kyle in the field on an EventWorks job, you may recognize him flipping over cars in George Sink commercials or maybe you have seen him and his crew, which are known as the Break Circuit, performing in downtown Charleston at Second Sunday or the Farmer’s Market.. He performs at festivals and private parties regularly, even giving private lessons to kids wanting to learn how to break-dance! Kyle said his favorite event to be a part of is Dance Marathon, an annual event that raises money for children at MUSC.
Kyle has been performing for most of life. Starting at age five, he first began flipping and tumbling for fun. By age 10, he was able to front flip over a trash can. At one point, he held the world record for flipping over the most people (at the time, it was 13!). Kyle is no stranger to the American Ninja Warrior show as he has been a participant before. He believes working at EventWorks has helped him stay in shape and really taught him patience, a key tool to being able to successfully complete challenges on the show’s course.

First quarter has officially flown by for the Savannah EventWorks team and what a rewarding time its been! We have had the pleasure of working with so many wonderful new clients and a handful of charitable partners including, March of Dimes, the Savannah Humane Society and the Sisters on a Journey Effingham, a signature event for Catie’s Fund to cure childhood cancer. This special group of events remind our team to:
- Have heart
- Take pride
- Give thanks.
In March, we set up quite the order for the Sisters on a Journey Effingham CURE Childhood Cancer event. We prepared an 80’x130’ tent with 100 tables and 1,000 chairs for their fundraising event at Honey Horn Plantation. They raised more than $136,000 to go towards research for pediatric cancer. In February, Client Relations Manager, Megan Mahoney, worked with the St. Joseph’s/Candler Foundation on their 2018 Candler Clays event which is a charity clay shoot and auction raising money benefiting the Nancy N. and J.C. Lewis Cancer and Research Pavilion. Candler Clays raised more than $176,000, a record amount for the charity.
Megan loves being involved with so many charity events. “It was truly inspiring to work with so many wonderful people who donated both their time and money to such an important cause that impacts so many families,” she says.
Then, earlier this spring, our Operations Manager, Brandon Cropley, had a record of his own! If you’ve previously worked with Brandon, you are familiar with his long locks of curly hair. Brandon grows his hair out specifically to donate to Wigs for Kids, an organization that custom makes hair replacement pieces for children undergoing cancer treatments. Our Napoleon chair has intricate vertical detailing on the back to distinguish it from the traditional Chivari ballroom chairs that have been a popular event staple for years. The Napoleon chair can be paired with a white, ivory or gold cushion for three different looks!
Our Dior chair has a traditional style with a flax linen upholstery and a curved back for a comfy sit. This is French glamour at its finest!

With a beautiful washed look and texture, this chair can be used for a rustic affair paired with our Farm tables or dressed up for an elegant reception tucked into a specialty linen table. We cannot wait to see our client’s designs using it as a stunning focal point!

Whether you’re hosting a backyard BBQ bash or a large wedding reception – EventWorks has tents of all shapes and sizes for every event need!
In search of a little shade? Our smallest tent is a 10X10 and can be used to cover a couple food tables, provide shade for some chairs or can be used as catering tent for a wedding reception.
From there, our tent inventory goes up in size and includes a variety of styles to select from! We offer 20 wide, 30 wide, 40 wide and 50 wide tents and can advise you on the size you’ll need to use for your event based on its footprint. EventWorks offers frame tents, gable frame tents, pole tents and sailcloth tents.
While Myrtle Beach, Charleston, and Savannah offer many beautiful outdoor venues and spaces, we always recommend having a rain backup plan as an afternoon shower can pop-up at any time. It’s always better to be prepared and and ensure your guests are covered should the weather not go as planned!
Good news! We offer a rain reserve program so you can hold a tent for your event date without paying the full amount for the tent upfront. Our rain reserve program requires a 35% non-refundable deposit to hold the tent with your tent decision made three days prior to your delivery date by noon. Our rain program allows you to have peace of mind (especially during peak wedding months!) that a tent is available for your event date if needed and allows you to be able to gauge the weather forecast 72 hours prior to your event.
To jazz up your tent, we offer pole covers and liners as add-on items to further decorate your tent. We also offer three chandelier options, as well as café lighting to light your tent if you have an evening event.
